Giffords Circus 2026 Waterfield
Our brand-new show, “Waterfield”, is inspired by the beauty of the English countryside and the creatures that call it home. It is our most ambitious production yet—filled with breathtaking moments that will leave you holding your breath, and daring acts that you may find yourself watching through your fingers.
Ratty and Mole dream of making their home in the valley, where all the fun seems to be happening. But do they have what it takes to earn a place among its wild and wonderful inhabitants?
Meet the ever-mischievous Rodney Rabbit, the finest juggler for miles around. Marvel at Squirrel Nutkin, who spins rugs with her feet as she soars through the air—she is, after all, a flying squirrel. When the newts emerge from the pond, prepare to be captivated as they twist and curl gracefully through the air in a display of extraordinary skill.
Expect the unexpected with the unlikely duo of Sally Henny Penny and the wily Mr Fox, whose death-defying knife and crossbow acts will leave you reeling. These acts carry a strict “not-to-be-tried-at-home” warning. High above, the elegant praying mantises dance in perfect harmony, while the Gifford family return with their beloved menagerie—including Brian the Goose. And, for an extra special treat, we present the most dangerous act ever seen at Giffords: the legendary Wheel of Death.
“Waterfield” is elegantly accompanied by Odette the Singing Swan and her lively troupe of grasshoppers, under the musical direction of the brilliant James Keay.
As always, our spectacular finale is choreographed by Kate Smyth and Emma Campbell. All of this unfolds within a stunning Cotswold setting, beautifully brought to life by designer Takis.
Follow Ratty and Mole as they learn the ropes under the watchful eye of Weasel and his trusty gang of stoats. Will they rise to the challenge? There’s only one way to find out.
Come and experience “Waterfield”.
Made by hand, with care, joy, and love, “Waterfield” is a celebration of imagination and adventure. Join us for an unforgettable journey into the countryside.
